Olivia has never been a picky eater, but when she started kindergarten she suddenly stopped eating her lunches. We didn’t qualify for free or reduced lunches and I didn’t want to buy her prepackaged lunches so I got creative…

I still pack her lunch everyday, even though she is perfectly capable of packing her own now. It’s one small way I can show and demonstrate love. I know she appreciates it and many times I. keep her lunch a secret, especially if it’s “fancy.”

Salad with turkey, mozzarella, broccoli, carrots, croutons, and yogurt.

Ham and cheese sandwich with green onion “trees,” carrots, pretzels, yogurt juice, and a mandarin.

Peanut butter and jelly roll ups, pumpkin seeds, goldfish, mandarin, applesauce and yogurt.

Turkey and cheese kabobs, bell peppers, goldfish, pistachios, granola and applesauce.

Tuna salad with crackers, pecans, applesauce, watermelon and raspberries.

Turkey “Bag-wich,” popcorn, pistachios, veggie straws, yogurt, grapes, and raspberries.

“Lunch-able” with ham, cheese, crackers and pretzels, animal crackers, “cow cheese,” yogurt, apple, chocolate covered bananas.

Leftover pulled pork sandwich with BBQ sauce, deviled egg, salad and apple.

Her lunch box got a much needed upgrade and her lunches are less “cutesy” since she will be in middle school soon.
